Traditionally, the month of May has always been a month of honoring Mary. Let's dive into some special Marian Feasts and devotions for this month of May.

Marian Feasts in May:
May 3rd: First Saturday
May 11th: Mother's Day
May 13th: Our Lady of Fatima
May 31st: The Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
This is the month of honoring Mary as both the Mother of God, and our own Mother. This month we celebrate mother's day, Mary under the title Our Lady of Fatima, and the feast of the Visitation, when Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth; the great moment of the magnificat of Mary.
This is also a month to intentionally draw nearer to our heavenly Mother. Some ways of honoring her and growing in deeper relationship with her:
Praying a daily Rosary. Not only is it a beautiful prayer, it is transforming for your own prayer and daily life. Mountains move when we meditate on the life of Christ with Mary and ask her for her intercession.
Praying the Angelus. One of the oldest prayers in the Church, prayed three times a day to this day by all religious, meditating on the Incarnation of Christ. The Angelus is prayed at 6am, 12pm, and 6pm
ANGELUS:
T he Angel of the Lord declared to Mary: And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary...
Behold the handmaid of the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word.
Hail Mary...
And the Word was made Flesh: And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary...
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts; that we, to whom the incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection, through the same Christ Our Lord.
Amen.
Praying or singing the Regina Caeli. This is a traditional prayer/hymn during the Eastertide, a beautiful prayer to pray or sing in honor of this Queen of Heaven
Wearing the Brown Scapular. We will chat more about this around the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima, but one of Mary's requests of all of us was to wear her brown scapular, to wrap ourselves in her very mantle. Why? Because what mother does not want to hold and swaddle her child, protect them, and carry them to Christ?
