Some simple wisdom from the Saints on gratitude and giving thanks, even in the midst of trial. Not every one of our Thanksgivings (or Christmas) will be all sunshine (and I don't mean because of the cloud cover this time of year), and it is important to remember those secrets of prevailing peace and joy in our relationship with Christ. Not that there cannot be difficulty or grief; but there can also be peace in Christ, which surpasses all understanding.
Just know, whatever this year's Thanksgiving or celebrations, reunions, or gathering will entail, that the Lord is already anticipating you with love. You have been given the freedom in His love to surrender totally to Him and even boldly thank Him in advance, for He is with you, He loves you, sees you, and works all things together for your good.
